Jack Arthur Shaw Artist railway art
Jack Arthur Shaw is a Loughborough born artist and a lifelong railway enthusiast. From first being immersed in the world of railways since he was just a few months old, he has enjoyed replicating this bygone era of steam travel on paper and canvas for as long as he can remember. His art has won him numerous awards throughout his school life.
In more recent years, Jack has taken to commissions in order to assist funding his academic life in music (from which he graduated at Bangor University with a First Class (Honours) in July 2015), following on from gaining top grades in his art GCSEs and A-Levels (Both A*), where he specialised in researching and analysing railway art. In August 2016, Jack was formally accepted as an Associate Member of the Guild of Railway Artists and in 2017 his painting The Night Cutler was voted in the top 10 works at the annual RailArt exhibition by the public.
Outside of art, Jack volunteers at the Great Central Railway where he is a Station Master at Quorn & Woodhouse and is also training to be a fireman where there is plenty of artistic inspiration.
